9. Legalized official translation of documents that are not in English

SDV Registration

Mortgage Registration

Required documents of mortgage registration under Sao Tome and Principe as followed:

Signed application form for mortgage registration

Original or notarized copy of the Mortgage Agreement (or Covenant or similar document)

Original legalized copy of the Director’s resolution or Minutes of the meeting authorising the mortgage, accompanied by a duly executed Power of Attorney to act on behalf of the owners (if applicable)

Payment of mortgage registration fees

For vessels under Provisional Registration, confirmation from the mortgagee that they have seen and reviewed the original evidence of ownership i.e. bill of sale, sale contract, etc (original legalized copy of the affidavit)

Provisional certificate of ownership title (issued by the Flag) and then permanent certificate of ownership title (issued once in possession of the original BOS)
